Over a 9 year period from the 1992 season till the 2000 season
Chris competed as a youth Speedway rider, on machines including a Triumph Tiger Cub, a Honda 200 and finally a Weslake 250.

In mid 2000 at 16 he started competing on a full size machine in the Northern California Division 2.
By the end of the season he had won four Division 2 main wins and won the Division 2 Auburn Track Championship.

From the start of the 2001 season Chris rode Division 1 against America’s top Speedway riders.
The regular format for American Speedway is staged as an individual meeting, in which points are collected in qualifier races, which then decide placings in the semi final and final / main event races. A riders progress is measured by Main Event appearances


In 2004 Chris qualified for Two main events at Auburn and One at Costa Mesa.

In 2005 Chris qualified for Four main events at Auburn and Six at Costa Mesa.

Chris has competed in the Auburn Track Championship Division 1 every year from 2001, with improved results each year.

Chris has competed in the AMA National Championship (Auburn) every year, and the US National Championship (Costa Mesa) in 2005.

Chris' first taste of British speedway action was when he was a member of the “USA Dream Team” .The American touring squad travelled the lenght and breadth of  the UK competing against Conference League outfits.
Overall Chris was the highest points scorer for the Dream Team.
Not only was this an unforgetable experience to ride British race tracks, but was also an experience of a different culture,
This was one of the most important points in Chris' career, which put him in the shop window for a team place in the British League.

In July Chris was selected to represent the USA in the Under 21 World Championship.
He qualified from the quarter-final in Pardubice, Czech Republic where he came 4th in the final, although he lead the race, until arm pump made him slip to fourth meaning he missed out on qualifying for the semi-final in Lonigo, Italy.

In the winter Chris continued his ambition to ride in the British League by competing in the qualifiers for the 2006 Dream Team touring squad.
Chris finished the series with the highest average, although didn't take his place up in the team, as a British club had already been in contact.

Chris signs a Contract with new club Redcar, chris will come into the team on an assesed 8 point average

Chris made his debut for Redcar Bears on 13th April 206 v Sheffield where Chris scored 7 points, a last in his first ride, 2 wins then a battling 3rd place in heat 13.
'The return of speedway to the Middlesborough area was heralded a success, and Chris began to establish himself as the new American hope.'

2007
